I hate it when celebrities snag all the jobs that "regular" people should get. For example, the fact that you see celebrities in allllll commercials imaginable pisses me off. My theory is, why pay a millionaire to endorse Sprite??? Coke products are so successful that you're really not going to gain more drinkers just b/c some celeb is throwin' back your product on TV. The "Coke" faithfuls are there not b/c of the famous guy on your commercial. SO why not pay an unknown face a couple hundred or thousand to get some exposure on the tube???
OK....Stephon Marbury is trying to sell his own TV talk show. Marbury has filmed a handful of demo shows, including a one-hour interview with Kobe Bryant. His reps have been shopping the show around. I can't knock this, but damn. Why give this man his own show??? I'm sure that there's some recent college grad who's fit for TV, and would be perfect for a talk show, but doesn't have the proper outlets. He/She may even become an overnite success....like Oprah or something. However, no one will take a chance on him/her because too many chances are being taken on those who're already established. I just don't get it.
