NBA Commish David Stern is Tired of the Bitchin'...

NBA commissioner David Stern thinks some NBA players have gotten a little too intense, especially in their constant complaining to the officials, which is why he promises that the league will crack down on those who protest too much this season. "The thought process is that we have the best athletes in the world playing a spectacular game as well as it's ever been played," Stern said last night at a news conference before the final doubleheader of 2006 NBA Europe Live. "In my view," he said, "it detracts from it when a small handful spend their time negotiating and slowing the game down, at least in the perception of the fans, by engaging in an enterprise which is not productive."
In my 22 years, I don't think any call or non-call has been reversed because a player complained."

I gotta say that I agree with the little guy on this one. There's nothing more pointless than a player arguing with a ref over a call. Nothing ever comes out of it, and the game always resumes. I will however have to disagree with him on that "best players in the world comment." Yeah right. That bronze medal proves that the NBA does not have the best players in the world.

I think everyone agrees. That's part of the whole "college is better then the NBA" stuff everyone says.

Have to agree NCAA basketball is much better than NBA. Depending on the game I only watch playoffs. It's about time David Stern made sense for a change, everything else he does is dumb. How did he get that job by the way?

NCAA def. better than NBA. From the beginning of the season to the end. I love March Madness. The NBA playoff system sucks!
