Atlanta has been chosen to host a WNBA expansion team in 2008. The Atlanta franchise, which will choose a name, logo, colors and head coach at a later date, is the sixth WNBA team to be independently owned and operated. With that addition, the WNBA will feature 14 teams! I feel like I should be getting paid for this! I've beeeeen saying that Atlanta should have a WNBA team for the longest!!!! Hopefully they'll be more exciting to watch than the Hawks. Since it only costs $25 to sit courtside at WNBA games, I think I'll be getting season tickets :)~

Will you just look at Shawn Merriman pouring champagne on some random chick at the club! Ol' girl seems to be enjoying herself. WTF ever! I'm a black girl and the myth about us going from lamb to lion about our hair is true!!! I swear I would've lost my mind if that negro decided to overturn a bottle on my head!! This would be big news if I had been involved b/c I would've acted a damn fool on Shawn Merriman!!

Mike Vick's old high school removed his jersey from the gym. The principal decided to remove it after his guilty plea. I think that I'm the only person in the world who feels like Michael Vick isn't the worse person in the world right now so I won't go into why I think that removing his jersey is unecessary. But I'm also the chick who graduated from a school that proudly displays the jersey of a former football player who made it to the league only to serve time for drug trafficking where he still remains...

I don't know if ya'll have been watching Dancing With the Stars, but last night Floyd was in the bottom two and you can tell that he was NOT happy!! The look on his face during last night's results show was (to me) a look of disappointment or perhaps frustration, even though a lot of people viewed it as him being cocky, arrogant, and having a bad attitude. Read some of the comments from the DWTS message board:
...your attitude stinks you should not act that way in front of fans you are there to have fun and everyone is there to learn and take what the judges say so you need to watch your face expersion
... Floyd have lost my votes for the rest of the season. I will not vote for him again no matter how well he dance in the following weeks. He have a serious attitude problem.
...Just poor sportsmanship.
...hope everyone noticed (how could you NOT) and no one vote for him. This show is as much about charisma and personality as it is about dancing. He is a medicre dancer at best and scores zero in the others. He needs to go. I hope he doesn't get one single vote.
They were clowin' Floyd!! I felt bad b/c I've voted for him every week and this week I didn't vote :( If you haven't been watching you wouldn't know that Floyd is extremely entertaining and dances his ass off every week. However he's failed to score higher than a 21!! I think he's had a great attitude despite the judge's scores and last night I viewed his demeanor as disappointment. He's been a great sport every week by complimenting the other contestants and etc. so for people to try to make him out to be an asshole just b/c he showed human emotion last night is contradictory to the way he's been on the show so far! Make sure to vote for him (abc.com)!! You get like 11 votes online...give him all 11!!!!

Marion Jones pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court on Friday to two counts of lying to federal investigators and admitted taking steroids before the Sydney Olympics in 2000. She is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 11, and sentencing guidelines call for her to receive up to six months in jail. Everybody knows that she strongly denied ever using any performance enhancing drugs during her career. Yesterday she admitted that it was all a lie, cried, and retired. To add to it all, the U.S. Olympic Committee announced that they want her five (3 golds, 2 bronze) medals back. My advice to her is to do what all celebrities on the downside of their careers do...write a book.

O.J. might as well give Fred Goldman his SSN so he can claim him on his income taxes. A judge ruled that O.J. must hand over a Rolex watch and other assets to Goldman. Any future royalties from a sports video game featuring Simpson also must be delivered to Goldman as well. Simpson must also surrender any of the disputed memorabilia items recently seized by Las Vegas authorities that are found to be legally his. The items would then be auctioned by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and the money they bring in given to Goldman. Being O.J. has to suck!!
I hadn't really been keeping up with the
California Raisin Isiah Thomas sexual harassment trial. I do know that it's over now, and the jury ordered $11.6 million be paid to the former team executive who "endured crude insults and unwanted advances" from Isiah!! Before being fired, she made $260,000/year (so I'm sure she was never broke), but now she really doesn't need to ever work again so I consider this a major comeup!! Don't spend it all in once place chica!! And Isiah should know better....you can't just go around sexually harrassing women all willy nilly!!
